Description according to traditional Chinese medicine: This is a modification of the original herbal mixture JIA WEI XIAO YAO WAN, adjusted to meet today’s needs. This mixture is rather new and has been created in response to the use of hormonal contraception (HC), with all their consequences, including acne which often appears after their discontinuation. It almost looks like when a woman uses hormonal contraceptives, she has no problems with menstruation or with the skin. Quite to the contrary – because of the hormones, the woman’s organism artificially changes and sets up an entirely new regime than would the woman would experience naturally and without hormones, in all parts of the body, soul, emotions… This artificially maintained “bubble” suddenly bursts when HC is discontinued – as if all that was lying beneath is fully exposed, the woman’s organism naturally wants to get rid of the chemistry and get back to its ordinary ways. There is no need to write about how hard it is to enter the same river twice. The more and the deeper HC leaves its mark in the organism, the longer the return to the “normal” takes. The acne is caused by an imbalance in conception (and also hormonal) pathways CHONG and REN MAI. This imbalance is caused by the use of synthetic hormones (not only HC but also thyroid hormones, corticoids, etc.) which maintain blood circulation in a pseudo-balance artificially. However, the quality and flow rate of blood XUE is weakened permanently, with subsequent blood stagnation YU XUE, later changing into heat in the blood RE XUE. This heat then gets out of the blood in the form of miscellaneous pimples, pustules, subcutaneous swelling and nodules, acne – “blemished skin” in general. Other typical manifestations include spreading of small blood vessels in the face, redness and flushing of the face in heat and during stress, worsened acne before menstruation and during ovulation (mid-cycle), premenstrual syndrome (bodily and mental irritation and imbalance before menstruation). Acne affects the nose, cheekbones, the area around the mouth and also between eyebrows. The tongue is usually red, especially its tip. Treatment is also conditional upon lifestyle adjustments (elimination of fried meals, dairy products, sweet and fatty meals). This mixture can be suitably combined with other herbal mixtures, depending on the condition:

For example, in case of big comedones add the herbal mixture Anchoring of the Hot-air Balloon (code 030), in case of little dark purple pustules add the herbal mixture Raising the Stuck Sluice Gates (code 040), in case of excessively purulent vesicles add the herbal mixture Five Calm Volcanoes (code 011), in case of skin redness add the herbal mixture Taming of the Hot-blooded Horse (code 018), in case of greasy skin add the herbal mixtures Drying Up the Rice Terraces (code 021) + Beverage of Chinese Sages (code 900), in case of constipation add the herbal mixture Cooling of the Cooking Range (code 013), in case of tension and chest pain add the herbal mixture Harmony of Magic Change (code 063), in case of depression and emotional irritation add the herbal mixture Falling Heart Stone (code081), etc.

Each batch of herbs in our products is tested in the accredited laboratory for medicines Phytax in Schlieren, Switzerland, to identify herbs, but also heavy metals (mercury, cadmium, lead, arsenic, and copper), bacteria (E. coli, Salmonella, total number of bacteria), mould, yeasts and aflatoxins. Our company TCM Herbs is the only supplier in the Czech Republic to test each batch of herbs for all herbal tables, among others for 511 types of pesticides (4 groups) because pesticides today become a worldwide problem, especially in products from the so-called Third World. Customers, in the belief that they use herbal preparations, are often, by contrast, “contaminated” with other undesirable “chemicals”.

Each laboratory is different

A laboratory for dietary supplements is obliged to verify only the presence of heavy metals, mould and bacteria – but does not determine the content of pesticides. A certified laboratory for medicines, on the other hand, also identifies individual herbs and in particular tests the entire range of pesticides (at least 500 types and more). There are only a few laboratories like that in the EU and the price is adequately high. It is therefore very important today to know which laboratory tests the dietary supplement and what the tests focus on, if each batch and each herb or just a sample are tested, how many pesticides, how many additives and how many additional binding agents the product contains, etc. – otherwise consumers could be easily deceived and disappointed… (for details read Safety and quality of TCM Herbs products)

The above implies that herbal tablets and drinks of TCM Herbs are, in terms of quantity (concentration of herbs in the mixture is 5 times higher, i.e. that 1 g of a herbal tablet equals 5 g of raw herbs) and quality (absolutely unprecedented testing of each batch), among the best products we can imagine and enjoy in the area of today’s Chinese medicine and natural medicine at all!
